Representative Role OverviewA leading investment bank or financial services firm may seek an Alternative Investments Analyst to support deal execution, portfolio analysis, and investment advisory for alternative asset strategies. This role is well-suited for candidates seeking rigorous analytical work, exposure to private markets, and structured professional development across private equity, hedge funds, real assets, and co-investment opportunities .
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain financial models for alternative investment funds, portfolio companies, and co-investment structures (NAV, cash flows, IRR, waterfall models)
Conduct market research, fund benchmarking, and alternative asset valuation analyses
Support live M&A, capital raising, co-investment, and portfolio monitoring engagements
Prepare investor reports, pitch books, subscription/redemption documents, and investment memoranda
Assist with due diligence, fund audits, and regulatory compliance reporting
Collaborate with investment bankers, fund managers, and portfolio teams across deal and capital workflows
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Strong skills in financial modeling, alternative asset valuation, and investment analysis
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities
Ability to handle multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, fund advisory, asset management, or FP&A is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research tools
